Shiners Q Chex

Shiners Q Chex was purchased from Carol Rose in December of 2002.  We brought him to Okotoks, Alberta and he began training with Cody Sapergia.  Cody and Q had two very successful years in the show pen both in Canada, and the U.S.  In 2005 Q was forced to take a 7 month holiday to recover from and injury, and in July of that year, he began training with Nicole Brown.  Nicole and Q had a short but great fall in 2005, and in 2006 traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Nicole and Q showed at all the major derbies in the U.S. and at the CRBC here in Canada.  They placed at every event.  In addition, Nicole and Q won the Canadian National Quarter Horse Senior Reining title, finished Q's AQHA R.O.M. and earned his Silver Merit Award from the NRHA.

Shiners Q Chex will take a holiday from the show pen in 2008, and will be relaxing at Countryside Farms in Lacombe, AB.  We will begin the breeding season in March and Laurie Engbrecht will be managing our breeding for 2008.
